Why choose Dr. Alberto Vargas as your orthodontist?

I am 51 years old and I have braces, not the traditional ones. They are called “lingual braces”. They are strategically located behind the teeth so that no one even noticed it except me. Do they bother me? Not a bit. My tongue got use to them and my brain figured out the way to remind me constantly why I have them: because I want to have that beautiful smile that all of us deserve.
Allow me to explain how I got here: Since the moment I called Dr. Vargas’ office for the first time, I was just looking for information about braces. I talked to Barbara; it was her kindness and receptiveness over the phone that motivated me even more. I was not even sure I was a good candidate for braces. “Just come to see Dr. Vargas” she said. So I did, and when I met him, he inspired confidence in me. Dr. Vargas communicates his knowledge and experience in his own personal way. He said I was not a good candidate for the Invisalign, the ones I wanted, and I was not willing to wear the regular ones. So he introduced me to the “lingual braces”.
The most important factor in the final outcome of any dental/medical procedure is the attitude the patient has toward his/her own condition, to be able to cope with any expected or unexpected issue in the course of the treatment. It is only through that doctor-patient relationship that this “attitude” is acquired.
My journey with the braces has been an excellent one, with some surprises that made a little change to the initial approach, but that is the reason you need to have a very good orthodontist next to you. I trust Dr. Vargas, I trust his criteria in every decision he makes in my treatment, and he cannot do it alone. It is precisely his team and their commitment to do a great job is what makes Dr. Alberto Vargas’ office unique. It is their team approach where you feel everyone is equally important. When you come to this office you have the impression they are all part of the same family, Shannon, Teresa, Molly, Luci and Barbara, each one of them is happy doing what they are doing, no matter what. They always have a smile while they are working with you, and they always keep in mind that those teeth, brackets and wires that they manipulate have an owner, a human being with his/her own needs and expectations, and they respect that.
There are other good orthodontists out there, but it requires true leadership to be the captain of this team and sail this boat the way it goes. Bravo, Dr. Vargas, I am so happy and proud that you are my orthodontist!
